Cannon waiting for Dada

This is Cannon waiting for Dada to come back in from feeding. He was so mad that Travis didn't take him out to feed, and waited by the door for him to come back in. I'm very glad the blinds are built into the door, if they weren't I'm sure they would have been destroyed.

Day #3 - Christmas Day

After a long trip home, we finally got the boys to sleep Christmas Eve. Before the boys were sent off to bed, we were able to leave Santa a couple of cookies and APPLE JUICE. That's right, Apple Juice. I tried to talk Brody into leaving milk for Santa, but he insisted that Santa wanted Apple Juice. Alright!!

Brody was very excited to see the bike that Santa had left for him, and Cannon loves his Basketball hoop (he throws everything through it)

My family came over for Dinner and, yet again, more gifts. No the boys didn't get Gator #3, but they did make out with some great loot.

Day #2

Christmas Eve we headed over the mountain to the Deal family in Oregon. We started the morning off with breakfast, and of course GIFTS!! They received lots of wonderful gifts from everyone. The boys once again walked out into the garage to receive a gift, and...............another Gator!! They were just as shocked and excited to see this one. They love it!! Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Deal.

Day #1

On Tuesday 12/23 we had family over for Gift Exchange and dinner. The boys were totally spoiled! Nana (my mom) got the boys a John Deere Gator. They were so surprised, and totally loved it!! The best part was Cannon's expressions while Brody was driving.

Coeur D' Alene Resort

Papa Craig had to see if the strings were real, so Brody had to check it out also.

Cannon was not so impressed by the Santa Chair

A couple of weeks before Christmas we made a trip to Spokane to visit my Dad. While we were there we made a visit to Coeur d' Alene resort to see there amazing light show. They didn't have any available reservations for the boat trip on the Lake, but we were able to see some amazing Christmas lights.

Brothers

I thought I would take a quick picture of the boys sitting together. This happens quite a bit, not usually with Cannon on Brody's lap........since Cannon almost weighs as much as Brody. They really do get along well, most of the time. The funny thing is, Brody picks on his brother and teases him endlessly, but if anyone else bugs Cannon, Brody is right there to defend him. Thanks goodness for big brothers!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Travis's family this year. We headed over on Wednesday evening. The boys were really sick, and not very social. We were pretty lucky to get this picture out of them. It is difficult to get 5 grandkids together all smiling and looking in the same direction!

Tired Fella

Just more pictures of Brody passing out.. I don't know why he tries to fight it, he doesn't want to miss anything I guess. I even caught him sleeping and eating a sucker, he was actually asleep but continued to chow down a tootsie-pop.....that's dedication.

Tough Guy

This is Cannon after he tried to conquer the concrete steps. He took a pretty good tumble, then got really MAD. I know that it had to hurt, but I think he was more mad than anything.

The bumps and bruises didn't slow him down any, he is still our little dare-devil.

Halloween 2008

We started the day off early this year. We first made a visit to Kaden and David's house, where they got to show off the costumes, and indulge in the first bit of candy of the day.







David was not so impressed with his cowboy hat. But, just let me say that he makes one amazing cowboy!

Brody and Cannon then received a visit from Skylar, the pumpkin. The boys' can't keep their hands off of this pumpkin....can you blame them?

After Skylar and her family's visit, we hit the road trick or treating. Leave it to me to forget my camera, lucky for us we met up with Amanda......who was able to get some goods shots.....hopefully! (those pictures to come)

Brody was so excited to get more candy. He did really well this year with knocking on the door, and saying thank you. Brody and Kaden even said Happy Halloween at almost every house. Thanks Kaden for showing Brody the ropes!

Banana Mania

These boys love their daily bananas. I can't keep bananas in my house. I love making banana bread, but with these 2 around I never get a chance. This particular morning, Cannon ate 2 bananas and Brody ate 1 1/2. So glad they like healthy snacks.

Carving pumpkins

Why does it seem that carving pumpkins was so much more fun when we were younger? I really don't think that Brody and Cannon enjoyed it either. Brody thought the "guts" were disgusting, so did I!!

To top it all off, we carved pumkins way too early in the month. We have had a fairly warm October, and the pumpkins rotted. Yep, they were thrown out before Halloween. I didn't even get pictures of the finished product....they were cute though.

I'm really going to have to rethink this carving thing before Halloween 2009. We might just have to stick to painting pumpkins.

Brody's new nap time

These past few months Brody has not been so easy to get down for a nap. He has decided that he doesn't need a nap everyday. I, being his mother, know better than that. I have to say if he doesn't get a nap in the afternoon he does go to bed real early, which is nice too!

We have had a pretty busy schedule. Play-dates a few times a week, and Brody's preschool 2 times a week, and just normal errands daily almost. Lately, I have found Brody just passed out in some pretty awkward locations and positions. This is todays nap. Cannon was in sleeping, and I was doing laundry. Brody just walked in from outside, sat in my chair, and crashed. I guess I don't care where or how, as long as he gets a NAP!!

Pumkin Patch at The Country Mercantile

On Sunday we took the boys to The Country Mercantile on Hwy 395 just north of Pasco. We have done this since Brody was born, and every year it gets bigger, better, and so much more fun for the boys. We were able to take a short little hay ride to the pumpkin patch where the boys were able to pick a few pumpkins to take home. They also had 2 bounce houses, a clown, straw maze, straw pyramid, and a petting zoo in the barn. The boys had so much fun, I wish we could do it again!!

Dad decided that Cannon was too heavy (nearly 27 pounds) to carry around, so he quickly "borrowed" a pumpkin wagon.

Brody actually wanted to ride this sheep, he settled for a simple pet of the nose.
