WOW- It has been 2 months since my last post.......oops!! There is so much to catch up on, Try and keep up =)
First off, and best of all - Travis is done with Harvest!!! That deserves a huge hurray. We now see him for breakfast AND dinner. The boys can't be happier, probably because they are now able to go to work with him. They enjoy spending the day with Dada, and I enjoy it when they ar with him also.
Brody is still enjoying school. I can't believe how well he is doing. It is amazing to me how much a 3 yr old can absorb during his school time. He is like a little sponge, able to recognize almost every letter and number, and doing so well spelling his own name. He has made some great friends at school also.......he now has someone to get into trouble with at school. Pretty funny when your 3 yr old tells "Mom, I made a poor choice today" I love this guy!!
Cannon is still.......Cannon. A handful and always on the go....destroying anything in his path. Travis has nicknamed him Dozer......he literally dozes through anything in his path, destroying whatever it may be. He is constantly trying our patience and teaches us along the way. He sure can be a sweet guy .....watch out though, he will smile at you and give you a black eye at the same time.
Emily is just as sweet as ever. She is such a good helper and really enjoy the boys (most of the time). Brody and Cannon can't wait for her visits and are sad when she has to leave.
The fun news in my life, I am going back to work!!! I have to say I am very excited about it. Cannon is 2 1/2 and Brody is 3 1/2, I haven't been employed in 4 years and I truly miss it. I am job hunting now. I have already hired a Nanny, now I must find a job.....kind of did things backwards there, but I have to have GREAT care for the boys in place before I can go to work. Our Nanny will be watching the boys in our home while we work, she will take Brody to and from school. We have known her for a long time, and she knows the boys and us well. We feel really good about her being here with our kids while we work.......way better than Day Care!!
The other exciting news - - We are going to remodel and add onto our house!!! We have thought about selling our house and buying a place that is newer or building a different lot, there is just nothing available that fits our needs/wants. We love our location and property, the house is just too small!! We are at 1560 sq ft now, and are hoping to add and additional 1000 sq feet. This would give us a formal dining room, remodeled/larger kitchen, new living room, master suite upstairs, utility room upstairs and an attached 2 car garage. We are very excited about our decision to stay at our location and make the house fit us. We have all the freedom and privacy here and can't imagine moving somewhere else. Travis is also going to add onto his shop - Pretty excited about that also!!
Well, I think that does it for our loss of time. I sure do hope I can keep up to date on our adventures........wish me luck.

Cannon
While Brody is at school 3 days a week now, Cannon and I take advantage of it and run our errands.......it is much easier with just 1 child!!
Today, we had to make a quick trip to the mall. On the way to the pickup we passed a bench just outside of Macy's. There was a female, probably in her mid-20's, sitting on this bench...........smoking. Cannon stopped - Looked at her - Pointed at her cigarette - then told her that was caca. She started laughing, she said "Yeah, it is gross huh??" Cannon just looked at her in disgust, "Yeah, caca"
I love the honestly of a 2 yr old...........most of the time.

2 years old
My baby is 2 years old today. I can't believe it has been 2 years already. I think back and time has really gone by fast. There are times that I want to push fast forward to see what my boys will be doing in years from now. But, all in all, I wouldn't want to take one second away from watching them grow, learn, and develop. It is amazing to see how much Cannon has changed this last year. He is such an independant......STUBBORN, boy. He knows what he wants, and he isn't afraid to let you know what he is thinking. Every day he amazes me with something new. He is always on the go, destroying something, driving us crazy most days.........WE LOVE HIM FOR IT!

Only Brody
Brody: Mom, you have nice hair
Me: Thank you.
Brody: Where did you get it?
Me: Well, where did you get your hair?
Brody: Target
On Father's Day weekend, we had a long day trip around Eastern ORegon to visit family. On the way home Cannon was very fussy and tired. He whined about 2 hours and we had ALL had enough. Travis had just talked to Cannon and he stopped crying.
Travis: Cannon if you start crying again I'm going to pull this car over
Brody: Dad, don't spank him he might start cryin' again.
Brody goes with Travis on the farm when possible. Brody saw a man wearing a cowboy hat driving a tractor. This is the conversation:
Brody: Dad did you see that. A cowboy was driving that tractor.
Travis: Yep, cowboys can drive tractors too.
Brody: They can? I'm a farmer. Dad are you a farmer?
Travis: Yes, but I'm a cowboy too. Are you a cowboy too?
Brody: Nope, I'm just a farmer.
(Never fear. Brody informed me today that he is "One Tough Cowboy")

Brothers
I can't believe these boys are torturing each other already. They are constantly going at each other. These brothers are inseparable, but man can they get on each others nerves!!
This is at a rodeo this past weekend, 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night. Brody was just touching Cannon to make him MAD!!
This video isn't very long. I had to go over and handle the situation before it got too ugly. Be thankful, you don't want to hear Cannon's scream.

Memorial Weekend
Saturday~
These boys act like they are never fed! Crazy boys!
Cannon his new Bike. He calls it a Gike. So cute!!
Sunday~
The boys and I headed to Oregon for a visit with Papa, Great-Grandma, and Uncle Gary. Who doesn't love a day in the Mountains? Lots of fun things to explore. The boys were so excited to see Papa. Again, it totally wore the boys out. Cannon fell asleep on Papa.
