This is what happens when I take my eyes off of the boys for just a few moments. It's March, it's cold, it's windy, it's NOT sprinkler weather. Try to tell my kids that!! They sure did love the water while it lasted. I wasn't too happy that they busted out the sprinkler and pool, but couldn't resist a few pictures.

New Family Member
Meet Scout.

This was my Christmas present from Travis. I have been wanted another heeler for quite awhile. Travis wanted to surprise me with a puppy for my Christmas present, but didn't want to pick out a dog for me. So, when I finally found one that I thought would fit us......she came home with me!!
She is fiesty. She is now 3 1/2 months old, and thinks she can eat anyone who comes in the yard. Good Girl Scout!! She goes everywhere with me. She loves the boys and they love her. They tend to get a little rough with her, so gets rough right back.....Cannon has some proof!!

Brody is now 4 years old. We enjoy this lil man so much. He is a great helper, worker, friend, brother, and son!! He is definitely his own person, he will say and do things that just totally throw you off.
His favorite things right now: 4 wheelers, horses, rodeo, farming, construction and farm equipment, school, IRON MAN (Travis's fault)
His least favorite things: HEIGHTS!! vegetables
Here are a few pictures throughout his life.

We love going to my mom's house. It is so relaxing there, no schedules or expectations. Here are some pictures of our relaxing day with Nana.

Christmas - Day 3
On Christmas day this year we had my Dad, Peggy, and brothers come to our house. It was another great day........EVENTFUL day!
First off, Santa was VERY good to the boys this year. They both wanted 4-wheelers, and Santa was kind enough to pull through for them. This is where the EVENTFUL part comes in. After the boys woke up fairly early Christmas morning, they discovered their stockings. Once the excitement of the stockings and contents wore off, Brody quickly remember Santa was supposed to bring their quads. As soon as this thought popped into his head, tears came to his eyes as he was looking around at the house and then quickly to Travis and I.
Brody: "But Santa Forgot our 4 wheelers"
Travis: "Brody, if Santa brought you 4 wheelers, where would they be?"
Brody: "Outside"
Travis: "Maybe you should go check outside"
Brody ran for the back door, opened it "He did bring us 4 wheelers, we were good boys afterall"
(glad somebody thinks so)
Since it was cold out and he knew that these 2 little guys would love to jump on them immediately, Santa was kind enough to keep them running to warm them up. As soon as Brody and Cannon got out of their pajamas and slippers, they were headed outside to get on their new toys. Travis was giving Brody the quick run down on being careful, not too fast, yada - yada - yada. He didn't dwell too much on safety issues since Brody is constantly running our 4 wheeler without any problems and we have been over this before. WELL - we should have taking a few more minutes to talk to him about the new toy. As I am on the video camera and Travis is right beside Brody, he says "Ok, go ahead and go" Brody gives it full throttle across the yard, (I'm screaming and the camera is on the ground) he hits our wood fence, boards go flying, and Brody is up over the handle bars. OH GREAT!! Brody is scared to death, the new 4 wheeler is broken, and it isn't even 7am on Christmas morning.....it's gonna be a good day!!
The side note here. Papa Craig bought their helmets for them as a Christmas gift......well Papa hadn't arrived for the day yet sooooo.....no helmets. I know, I know, I know......BAD PARENTS!! Our thoughts, they are just in our back yard, they can't get hurt........WRONG!! He wasn't hurt, however he did have a slight cut on his chin and eye brow. He quickly recovered from his scare, since there was blood he said that blood makes you tough.
After Brody took his quad for the most expensive ride in Deal history, it was Cannon's turn. Oh boy, Cannon's quad was throttled all the way down so he would go too fast (yes, should have done that to Brody's to start with). Cannon is an official "adrenaline junkie". The only speed he knows is FAST!! Nothing scares this kid, and that scares me!! Well, lets just say that i have to ride with him on his 4 wheeler.....still. He goes full speed everywhere, he don't like slow!!
After the eventful morning, and then some fence building, we were ready for family to arrive to share in the rest of the holiday.

Brody wanted to leave a not telling Santa that his milk was in the fridge so it stayed cold. I love the innocence of chidren!!

Brody's 90cc Polaris and Cannon's 50cc Kawasaki
(I didn't get any pictures of the broken quad or the broken fence)
Boys talking about their new helmets. Brody thought they were a GREAT gift!!

Christmas - Days 1 & 2
The day before Christmas Eve we packed up and headed to Oregon to hang out with the Deal family. They had a LARGE gathering at their home the day we got there for family and Family-friends. The kids got to play with so many friends and cousins, they were worn out by the end of the night.
On Christmas Eve we had an eventful day at The Deal Ranch!! More family came over to celebrate the holiday with amazing company, food, and drinks.
This is truly a great family!!
Sadly, my camera died mid way through the opening of gifts....not many pictures to share =(
